Take a trip back in time on our heritage steam train to Bungendore with classic vintage steam loco 3016.

Be fascinated by the wide range of scenery the train travels through en-route to Bungendore. Our train climbs the scenic Molonglo Gorge before passing into the patchwork pastoral lands beyond. Native wildlife can also often be seen from the train.

Arrival time in Bungendore is a little after midday and you have two and half hours to explore this charming villiage, which has many different specialty shops, galleries and a number of cafes and restaurants to dine in. Alternatively, pack a picnic and enjoy the outdoors in Bungendore´s park, oval and playground.

The 3rd Sunday is also market day in Bungendore. Browse upon an extensive range of stalls, selling organic produce, craft, books, homewares and trash and treasure. The markets are open throughout our stay and are located in the Memorial Hall on Molonglo St.

First class passangers travel in reserved seats aboard an edwardian carriage, with a professionally catered morning tea, served to your seats. Is there a better way to travel?

* Operation of steam locomotive is subject to availability. The train will be hauled by a vintage diesel locomotive if the steam locomotive is unavailable or a day of high fire danger is declared. Depending on demand, trains may also operate with both steam and diesel locomotives. ARHS ACT reserves the right to change motive power without notice to passengers.
